At the 2007 Bluegrass Energy and Green Living Expo held at the Lexington Exposition Center, Brian was the featured artist. But more important to Brian was the opportunity that he received to do a carving demonstration for the children at the Expo. Woodcarving and sculpting is an art form that is becoming increasingly rare in our technological, mass production world and the HWC crew loves to open the eyes of young people to the beauty of wood and the art of carving. The questions, suggestions and comments from the young people was a beautiful thing to be involved in and to witness. After a brief discussion of types of wood and tools, Brian carved a small cedar face for the kids.
